Through this work, she has found a passion in supporting clients during their reproductive experiences. Shelby acknowledges the toll pregnancy, postpartum, and infertility can take on the wellness of a person or couple, and emphasizes the importance of the mind and body connection to enable a state of healing, serenity, and joy in the counseling setting.

Emery Erhart
M.Ed., LPC, PMH-C
As the founder of PPF Counseling, Emery has worked diligently in providing mental health services to those who are struggling with their experience in reproduction. Her therapeutic approach to helping support her clients to healing is through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Somatic Experiencing. She has seen the importance of addressing not only the mental toll infertility, pregnancy, and postpartum takes on an individual, but also healing the nervous system dysregulation as well.

Due to the significant need for perinatal and fertility counseling in our community, Emery will be stepping into a supervisory role with the clinicians on staff at PPF Counseling. This will mean Emery will have limited availability on her caseload. It will also mean she will get the opportunity to share her expertise with not only the staff at PPF Counseling, but with the community as well. PPF Counseling will take into account your specific needs and experiences when placing you with a therapist.
Tara Burns
MAMHC, LPCC
Tara has a wide variety of experience working with clients in both in-home and outpatient therapy settings. Through her clinical experience she has supported families in creating healthy parent-infant and child attachment while navigating trauma, grief, loss, depression, and anxiety. She focuses on creating a space where clients learn to feel safe while addressing trauma responses to increase emotional regulation.

Interpersonal Therapy recognizes the impact relationships have on an individual's life and encourages an introspective framework for improving one's relations with themselves and others.
Through exploring and understanding one's own attachment patterns, a person is able to be intentional about how they create attachment with their own partners and children.
